Worship services are at 7:45 am and 10:00 am.

Join us for lemonade on the porch of the Parish House following each service service.

Three-service schedule (7:45 am, 9:00 am & 11:00 am) begins on September 14.

God wants to give us something but cannot, because our hands are too full …there’s no room to receive it.  Augustine

Given the wealth of possessions and distractions in our lives, how can we as individuals, and as a community, find ourselves again? How can we find God? One way is through giving. In giving, we open up space, we open up opportunities to receive. When we give our money to the church, we also know we are doing as the Bible instructs us. When we give our time and our skills to church-based activities, we know we are helping to build something of true and lasting value. The fall stewardship campaign at Christ Church is an invitation for you to give of yourself in many forms – money, time, and skills. It will be an invitation to serve.

Christ Episcopal Church accepts gifts of stock as a donation.

The ALTAR GUILD welcomes inquiries from potential new members who would enjoy preparing the church for worship.
This talented collection of women (though men are welcome!) allow our parish the privilege of offering the best of our gifts to God by caring for the vessels for God's wondrous grace.  Polished brass and silver, crisp white linen, glistening crystal, richly adorned altar cloths, stately white candles and glorious processional crosses reflect the splendor of creation and God's glory made manifest in us.  Join this group to prepare wine, bread, poinsettias, lilies, candles, altar cloths and more to make us ready to celebrate as the Body of Christ gathered to worship.  Contact Peg Hincke (301-299-8576) for details.

Christ Church Vision Statement

We are a community in Christ, sharing God’s abundance and grace.

We seek God’s forgiveness, for we suffer from the sins of pride, jealousy, and envy.

We seek to personify the grace and love of Christ by understanding and responding to the needs of our congregation and community and by eliminating the prejudice and fear of change that create divisions among us.

We trust in God’s compassion and healing as we acknowledge that our unfulfilled lives and broken relationships paralyze and discourage us.

We spread the good news of Jesus’ promise of salvation.

Our common need for community and connection compels us to embrace diversity and welcome all people into our community of faith.

We are called to glorify God and to serve others.
