The Welcoming Committee

The Welcoming Committee's primary responsibility is to make newcomers to Christ Church feel comfortable and welcome. The Committee sponsors Newcomers to the parish and hosts events such as the Newcomer's Coffee, Luncheon with the Rector and the Church History Tour to help nurture their introduction to Christ Church.

The committee is extends a welcoming hand to all parishioners at the conclusion of the 10am and 11am services. The members also distrubute to new 'faces" a packet of 'everything a parishioner would need to feel comfortable at Christ Episcopal Church. The committee also organizes the periodic lunch with the Rector.

Pastoral Care Committee

Pastoral Care has one clear mission: to pray for people who have requested prayers for healing and/or special needs. The group functions under the guidance of Fr. McDuffie and meets the first and third Tuesday evenings in the Parish House. PASTORAL CARE welcomes members to this joyful ministry. In this area, we love and serve the people in our church, welcome others into our fellowship, and minister to people in life transitions through prayer and action.
